Viewing a Choreographer Build: Trisha Brown's Unusual Archive

The New York Public Library has gained Brown's chronicle, including 1,200 tapes that give a significant record of her inventive cycle.

In a video recorded in 1989, the choreographer Trisha Brown shows a couple of anxious seconds of development, as artists in her studio attempt to track. An arm darts over the middle; the legs seem to slip and catch themselves. It happens quick. As the artists endeavor to do as she does, a watcher can envision how valuable the video would be for anybody learning this material. There's no simple method to clarify what she's doing; you simply need to continue viewing.
