This Virtual Neighborhood Hosts a Growing Collection of Video Postcards from Artists in Isolation Toward the beginning of the pandemic, Itamar Kubovy, a previous official imaginative maker of Pilobolus, and his companions ended up checking in with one another by means of Zoom as an approach to associate and adapt to life under lockdown. "It intrigued us about what all these different people that we have worked with or known or respected are doing everywhere throughout the world," he says. "Particularly in the move world, it feels like there were such a significant number of individuals in these cases attempting to recollect what it felt like to move—and demanding it."
Kubovy, along with co-makers and co-makers Stefanie Sobelle, Juan Diaz Bohorquez, Joe Szuecs and Sherry Huss, made associations with 100 specialists—choreographers, artists, producers, scholars, performers and the sky is the limit from there—and represented a straightforward solicitation: Submit a video postcard, around one-minute long, reacting to the year's occasions.
