Impacting Miami’s dance and disability communities

With repertory favorites, Karen Peterson & Dancers commemorates 32 years of influencing Miami's dance and disability communities.

On May 27–28, 2023, at The Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center's Lab Theatre, Karen Peterson & Dancers (KPD) will perform Repertory Favorites, a multimodal dance concert, to mark their 32nd anniversary. KPD's dynamic program includes a documentary on their dance program for youth with special needs in the Miami-Dade County Public School System, the world premiere of their most recent work, and eight company members performing choreography by renowned physically integrated (PI) choreographers from across the US. In order to recognize the KPD's more than three decades of inclusive, mixed-mobility dancing, teaching, and activism globally, this event presents a curation of pieces from their repertory.
