​Dance on the Lawn: The Ninth Annual Montclair Dance Festival

On Saturday, September 10, from 3 to 5 p.m., the front lawn of the Montclair Public Library, 50 South Fullerton Avenue, will once again host the free outdoor dancing event known as Dance on the Lawn. There will be live performances by Maxine Steinman & Dancers, Abdel R. Salaam's Forces of Nature, Sharron Miller's Academy for the Performing Arts, Nai-Ni Chen and Company, and other groups. William Ervin, the 2022 "Emerging Commissioned NJ Choreographer" prize winner from Dance on the Lawn, will also have an original piece in this year's event.

The best choreographic talent from New Jersey and New York is shown and mentored through Dance on the Lawn, now in its ninth year. 

The biennial DOTL Festival gives Montclair locals and those of nearby communities a first look at up-and-coming and seasoned performers from the New Jersey and New York region.
